    In nanotechnology, there is the morphology of nanoscale objects. Each of their dimensions varies from 1–100 nm. They may be amalgamated from metals or semiconducting materials. The benchmark feature ratios (length divided by width) are 3-5.

    These objects are termed as Nanorods. These are produced by direct chemical synthesis.
